For thirty dollars this was a pretty good buy. It does create minor chip out but creates a nice flat cut. My only real complaint was the case it came in. What an embarrassment to the people that made it. The bottom was cracked and dented, the hardware was falling off, and the entire thing was falling apart. I would have been happier if they just sent it without a case. However, with that said, for thirty bucks this blade is great for the weekend woodworker or someone with a hobby shop. I recommend it.

I have used this for cutting dados cross grain in red oak, and with the grain in fir. The blade set does a good job for the price, the dado is square, flat on the bottom. Only problem is that I’ve had a little bit of tearout at the end of cross-grain cuts. For the price this set is great.

My husband has always used the “tap and listen” method for finding studs– checking for the difference in sound and then driving in a nail to see if he had found a stud. To say the least, it was a hit and miss and very time-consuming method. I searched for a electronic stud finder to give him as a Xmas present, but was discouraged by their negative reviews. Then I found the reviews for this stud finder, and was quite impressed. My husband has used it several times already and it is just amazing– he waves it along the wall and within seconds it picks up the stud!! $11 might sound like a lot of money for a magnet, but believe me, this one is worth it,because apparently, not all magnets are created equal– my sister bought one for around $5 that was the size of a plastic pencil sharpener that was supposed to find studs and she said it didn’t find squat. BTW, my husband says not to store the magnet attached to or near metal or it will lose it’s charge.

The drill itself has lots of power..so does the impact…but the battery…would give me 10 maybe 12 3/16 thick holes approximately 3″ deep and that the most… from the time u bore the first whole the battery is down a barn

I bought the Sonicrafter delux version with vacuum attachment. I bought this tool because I was going to install a ceramic tile floor in my kitchen bath and hallway and needed to undercut the existing door way jams and moulding. The Saw works fine for pine and popular trim but doesn’t work so well with hardwoods such as oak. A more aggressive blade tooth might help with hardwoods. The scrapper blade worked well for removing the vinyl flooring in the kitchen. The dust collector is worthless. I ended up using the shop vacuum to clean up after the cuts. The suction opening is too far away from the cutting surface and the flow is too restrictive. It really bogged down the vacuum. This is an ideal tool for undercutting woodwork and making cuts in confined places. For general purpose cutting there are better options.n

Very easy to swap out with the old ones, worked from the get-go, couldn’t have been simpler.

Easy to set up (just matched the up/down toggles with my old garage opener), and it worked the first time (and since) with no problems. Doesn’t quite seem to have the range as my old model, but thats barely if at all noticeable. Can’t beat the price. Shipped quickly. Would definitely recommend.
